How to do daily maintenance of Steel instrument cabinets

Oct 21, 2025

Daily maintenance for Steel instrument cabinets begins with proper cleaning. After each use, wipe the cabinet surface with a dry cloth to remove dust and stains. This prevents dust from accumulating and caking with moisture, which can damage the cabinet's finish. For greasy or stubborn stains, gently wipe with a cloth dampened with warm water and a small amount of neutral detergent, then dry with a dry cloth. Avoid using strong acidic or alkaline detergents, as these can corrode the paint and steel.
Also, pay attention to the storage environment. Avoid placing Steel instrument cabinets in humid areas, such as near water sources or in poorly ventilated corners. Moisture can easily rust the steel. If the humidity is high, place several packets of desiccant inside the cabinet and replace them regularly.
In addition, regularly inspect the Steel instrument cabinet's structural components, such as door hinges and locks, and tighten any loose parts immediately. Open and close the cabinet doors gently, avoiding slamming them to prevent deformation or paint peeling. Proper maintenance can reduce corrosion and extend the cabinet's lifespan.
